Investing as a young couple

Erica and I met with a financial planner this morning at her school. The public sector offers a 403b to its employees as a means to retirement planning. The 403b is the equivalent of a 401K in the business sector. Basically, you set aside money each pay period and then the company [...]

To Write Love on Her Arms

This video has my curiosity.  I read the full story and found the words touching, even if I am not entirely sure what their movement is attempting to accomplish.  Anyone know what’s going on?

Home Improvement

In my quest to learn how to fix stuff around the house myself, here are a few websites that I stumbled into:

I like this.  Erwin has some really profound things to say in his video.

Ungrounded opinions

I’m annoyed right now.  I just finished reading a facebook friend’s post about Christian books.  He went after a couple of authors that I enjoy pretty hard, calling them “theologically unsound.”  But he doesn’t back his assumptions up with scripture.  So I guess I’m supposed to take his word as the authority on truth?  Doubtful.

XXXchurch.com

Last Sunday I checked out a new church on the southside called Indian Creek.  I’m not sure where the name came from because I didn’t see a creek or water or even indians.  I did, however, manage to find the cafe upon entering the building and made myself a cup of joe before stopping by [...]

New Small Group

Erica and I haven’t found a church home since moving down to the southside of Indy.  We’ve been praying for some time that we would find a place to grow and meet friends.  Last week one of Erica’s coworkers, a sixth grade teacher named Andrew Smiley (what a cool teacher name: Mr. Smiley), suggested that [...]

Big Brother – the original

The other day I was bored and so I began rummaging through my office and came across George Orwell’s “1984″.  One of my liberal friends in high school gave it to me.  We had just finished Orwell’s “Animal Farm” at the time, and I decided I had had enough for a while and discarded the [...]

Best Buy

Imagine shopping in Best Buy and seeing 80 people walking around in blue shirts and khakie shorts in addition to the store workers.  This is a stunt that is just screaming for a youth group to test out. Scroll down to the asian guy’s interview after you watch the main video.
