I like Cuban’s idea to refine minor league sports. He suggests purchasing a minor league basketball team, recruiting guys from high school, and then negotiating payment from the NBA when one of the guys goes pro.   I met a young lady once whose father runs a couple of ABA teams.  She didn’t give me specifics, but it did not seem like they were making a killing.  It makes me wonder how you would recoup an investment of $10-20K a year paid to the players’ families when maybe a couple of your players go pro, and you receive $350K.  Cuban’s right: it is simple in concept, but would be challenging to execute.  Might make for a fun challenge though.
