Monday marked my first day at ExactTarget, an e-mail software solutions provider located on Indianapolis’ circle. The past two days have been orientation. Different leaders in the company have presented to our class (7 new hires) on everything from how e-mail works to accounting to the history of how Exact Target began (which happens to be very interesting for a later post). Mixed in between these speakers have been product demonstrations on how to use our software. Every new hire creates an e-mail during their first week to introduce themselves to the entire company (using Exact Target software, of course). Evidently it is a huge deal and something that everyone looks forward to with each class. Some of the examples from current employees are incredibly impressive, especially the html crew who work on product development.

An interesting piece of information is that my coworker, Brian, was on NBC’s The Apprentice season 4.
